【摘要】:Thecompressibilityvalueobtainedbythistestisameasureofamaterialcharacteristicofthepowder.Thetestmethodisusefulinresearchanddevelopmentprojects,asaqualitycontroltestintheevaluationandmanufacturingcontrolofmetalpowderproduction,andasanacceptancetestforshipmentofmetalpowderlots.InPMproductionoperations,thetestishelpfulindeterminingpressingandtoolingrequirementsforhighdensityparts.Resultsmaybeaffectedbytestconditionssuchasthetypeamount,andmethodoflubrication,dwelltimeduringcompaction,anddiematerial.Thecompressibilityvaluesmaynotnecessarilyagreewithresultsobtainedunderproductionconditions.1.1Thislaboratorytestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecompressibilityofmetalpowdersandmetalpowdermixturesasmeasuredbytheextenttowhichasamplecanbedensifiedundercontrolledconditionsinaspecifieddie.1.2Withtheexceptionofdensityvalues,forwhichtheg/cm3unitistheindustrystandard,thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesshowninparenthesisaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatarepresentedforinformationonlyandarenottobeconsideredasstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
