【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversdouble-normalizedandtempered9%nickelsteelplatesintendedparticularlyforweldedpressurevesselsforcryogenicservice.1.2Platesproducedunderthisspecificationaresubjecttoimpacttestingatx2212;320x00B0;F[x2212;195x00B0;C]oratsuchothertemperaturesasareagreedupon.1.3Themaximumthicknessofplatesislimitedonlybythecapacityofthematerialtomeetthespecificmechanicalpropertyrequirements;however,currentmillpracticenormallylimitsthismaterialto2in.[50mm]max.1.4Thismaterialissusceptibletomagnetization.Useofmagnetsinhandlingafterheattreatmentshouldbeavoidedifresidualmagnetismwouldbedetrimentaltosubsequentfabricationorservice.1.5Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
