【摘要】:ThispartofISO11898specifiescharacteristicsofsettingupaninterchangeofdigitalinformationbetweenelectroniccontrolunitsofroadvehiclesequippedwiththecontrollerareanetwork(CAN)attransmissionratesabove40kBit/supto125kBit/s.TheCANisaserialcommunicationprotocolwhichsupportsdistributedcontrolandmultiplexing.ThispartofISO11898describesthefaulttolerantbehaviouroflow-speedCANapplications,andpartsofthephysicallayeraccordingtotheISO/OSIlayermodel.ThefollowingpartsofthephysicallayerarecoveredbythispartofISO11898:—mediumdependentinterface(MDI);—physicalmediumattachment(PMA).Inaddition,partsofthephysicallayersignalling(PLS)andpartsofthemediumaccesscontrol(MAC)arealsoaffectedbythedefinitionsprovidedbythispartofISO11898.AllotherlayersoftheOSImodeleitherdonothavecounterpartswithintheCANprotocolandarepartoftheuser'slevelordonotaffectthefaulttolerantbehaviourofthelowspeedCANphysicallayerandthereforearenotpartofthispartofISO11898.
